An audience of thousands viewed the launch of Xiaomi Mi 10i all over India on 05 January at noon IST through the company’s social media channels and the company website. The new model being launched by Xiaomi is rumored to be designed explicitly for its Indian customers. The brand also indicates that the ‘i’ in Mi 10i Flipkart stands for India.

Manu Kumar Jain, the Xiaomi India chief, has also confirmed reports stating that the Mi 10i on Flipkart will be priced below Rs. 30,000. Many speculations state that the model is rebranded after the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G launched in China, but the company rejects such assumptions. 

Various e-commerce websites, including Amazon, have provided a separate landing for Mi 10i in Flipkart shoppers. The newly launched model would also be available on Mi.com for retail purposes.

It is speculated that the phone contains modified changes from the MI 10T-Lite, which was globally launched by Xiaomi in September. The quad-camera system on the back of the Mi 10i includes a 108MP primary camera instead of a 64MP sensor, as seen before.

The Mi 10i comes with a 16MP front camera and has a 4820 mAh battery, and supports 33 W fast charging. Its design includes a circular rear camera module and a hole-punch display. 

The phone is available in three colors;  Pacific Sunrise, Atlantic Blue, and Midnight Black.

The Mi 10i is priced at different ranges according to the specifications of the model.

They are as follows;

  • 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage – Rs 20,999 (~$287)
  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – Rs 21,999 (~$300)
  • 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – Rs 23,999 (~$328)

The phone will be available for sale on Amazon, Mi stores, and Mi.com from the 7th of January. Xiaomi further affirms that around 10,000 retails stores will partner for the sale of the Mi 10i. Hence, the open sale for the anticipated model will begin on 8th January.
